A lot depends on the type of hair you have. If it’s stick straight or very slightly wavy (types 1a, 1b, 1c), then sure, have at it …but do be gentle.

Wavy and curly hair is often dry so brushing or combing it isn’t going to be distributing your natural oils to any great degree …because your scalp doesn’t produce a lot of natural oils (sebum).
